Jenny Foulds’ debut collection you belong here with me, my darling is a big, bright, brilliant and wholehearted joy machine of a book celebrating life, queer identity and those unforgettable relationships that teach us what it means to really belong.

These poems take us by the hand leading us through raves, train stations, hungover dens, kitchens and wild spaces with a satchel full of joy, love, grief and all the hard bits of being a human in the sidecar.

Jenny’s work invites us to turn up unapologetically and meet our authentic selves, always finding our tribe and even when we’re a little bit lost the poems reassure us that there is always somewhere soft to land when the party stops.

The book’s sections span forwards and backwards in time holding heartache alongside hope, love alongside loss and all the strange and transformative ways friendship can make us feel at home in ourselves.

This book is full of the personality Jenny holds on stage with a brightness for life despite the hard bits and the collection moves seamlessly between vibrant strobe lighting and the soft landing of the morning after.
